The Custom Stone and Tile guarantees that the product and installation, when provided by us, is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation. There are however, some things to consider before buying any stone product:

Stone is natural. Stone customers admire and appreciate the uniqueness of each stone. This natural product offers a unique beauty unmatched by manmade products. There are no "dye lots" in stone, and as such, it is important to select your product carefully. Stone veining is also natural and is considered to be a part of its natural beauty and is not a defect. Custom Stone and Tile offers a time frame for customers to review their specific stone prior to its fabrication.

Stone is not manufactured but is cut from the earth where it is then sawed and polished into slabs ready for fabrication. Based upon the size of your project, it may be necessary to have a seam in your surface as the stone may not be quarried in a size large enough to make a one piece surface. Custom Stone and Tile installs stone with special equipment to make a seam virtually unnoticeable. Adhesives, when required, are specially colored on site to match the stone.

Stone offers great flexibility for your use. There are no scratch repair kits needed as few things can scratch granite. Cutting, dicing and other routine cooking functions can be done on granite without concern. Hot pots can be placed on granite directly from the stove or oven. Harsh impacts with heavy or pointed items is not recommended and resulting damage is not considered a defect of the product.

All countertops come sealed from our factory. Cleaners can remove the very top surface layer over time. While the stone remains sealed from stains, we recommend that you reapply a sealant once a year. It is as simple as wiping it on and then buffing it off, as you would do furniture polish. One final note; Marble is a softer material than granite and is not recommended for the rigors associated with kitchen countertop applications. Chlorine type cleaners can permanently alter marble's appearance and are not recommended as cleaning agents.

With that in mind, rest assured that Custom Stone and Tile will do their utmost to provide you with an attractive and functional stone surface for you.
